Sly Pyper, the legendary producer of WunTu Media, will be appearing in the multi-platinum rapper Xzibit’s new digital music series ‘Broken Ground.’ The series tells the story of a rapper, James ‘Jayo Felony’ Savage, who is looking for the person that caused him a lifetime of misery. Seeking retribution, he sets out to find the culprit only to discover it is the old him, who is to blame. He must then kill his old self in order to re-emerge as the redeemed artist.
The series recently premiered during a red carpet screening at the 27th Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival in Los Angeles, with a host of celebrities in attendance. Xzibit, the series’ co-director and producer, as well as lead actor James Felony, led a panel discussion at the event. Additional cast member include Sticky Fingaz, Anna Hutchinson, Slink Johnson, and Anthony Michael Hall.
I am pleased that the Broken Ground crew are ahead of the curve, with how to present artistry in a world that is saturated with anyone being able to release any music content at any time. The intriguing visual story, based on substantive content with audio, will soon be the new standard. ‘Broken Ground’ achieves the higher standard of artistry, flawlessly.
